Challenges: An Introduction

 We’re so proud of the students who participated in our forums. Being vulnerable and honest about our experiences takes courage, and this is especially true for young people of color who often feel as though they are overlooked or taken for granted. During the forums, we heard about a wide range of challenges these students face due to everything from racism to cultural ignorance and underrepresentation.

We hope you’ll read these challenges as exactly what they are: the real struggles of kids in our schools, and the deep desire to overcome these challenges.
